The Service Fabric platform consists of multiple modules including Discover and Connect. Service Fabric Discover is a service discovery and orchestration system that allows users to select and provision services via Service Fabric Connect or Service Fabric Compose. Service Fabric Discover is how the customer interacts with Service Fabric, whether using the portal or the API interface.
Service Fabric Connect is not interacted with directly by the customer, but rather directed by a customer’s request to Discover. Then Service Fabric Connect provisions the appropriate network hardware and connectivity for the customer either port to port or port to cloud network connectivity.
The Service Fabric platform allows a customer to create end-to-end service combinations driven by the intelligence creating solutions and combinations of solutions which reside on our Service Fabric platform, using capabilities from both Digital Realty directly and those of our open partner ecosystem, who are integrated into Service Fabric to aid the customer in solving their business problems.
