APIs provide access to the same functionality our Customers get via the Portal extending how we interact and support our customers’ digital experience. Just like you use a screen to interact with your phone, software systems use APIs to interact with each other.
Cross Connect can be viewed as a physical connection between customer A to customer Z and helps reduce network latency. The Cross Connect Inventory API provides secure access and automates the process for our customers to get their Cross Connect inventory data.
The Cross Connect Inventory API also provides crucial business information about the cross connect like
- Panel and port information at the A and Z end
- Cross Connect Media Type (copper, Fiber, DS1, DS3, Ethernet)
- A side Port Status
- Z side customer name
- Order details
COX is our first customer who is utilizing the API. We expect many of our customers to use our APIs. The successful release of this API is a continuous improvement of the Digital Offerings and sets us apart from many of our competitors.
