DLR uses account attribute to store the customer account hierarchy information that represents the parent company and its subsidiaries. The parent company is referred as global ultimate and the subsidiary as legal entity.
The purpose of Accounts API is to retrieve the global ultimate account identifier and legal entity account identifier. The global ultimate account identifier (masterAccountID) and legal entity account identifier (accountID) need to be passed in the header of each API call for authorization purposes.
